Released 2026-09-15

You can cancel jobs from the sidebar and read recent changes inside Wideframe. This release also improves syncing camera footage with separate audio and fixes Premiere projects failing to open after edits.

New

Cancel a job

Click the × on a job card and confirm to cancel it. The cancelled job stays in your history until you clear it, and Wideframe receives notice of the cancellation in the conversation that started the work. Files already completed stay available.

What's new

Open "What's new" in the title bar to read recent additions, improvements and fixes. The link disappears once you have read the latest entry; you can return to the list at any time through Wideframe > What's new.

Changed

Syncing cameras with separate audio

When your camera and audio recorder start at different times, Wideframe can compare matching passages at different points in each recording. Previously, it had to extract those passages into temporary files before comparing them. Wideframe checks separate passages before accepting the alignment and asks for more evidence when a match is ambiguous.

Try it: "Sync these camera clips to the recorder audio and check the alignment in several places."

EditReady versions

Wideframe now attempts conversion, recovery from familiar dialogs and preset-based output checks with the EditReady version you have installed. Previously, releases other than 26.2 were labelled unsupported and lost those recovery and checking steps. Wideframe reports whether your installed version is among the versions tested.

Feature questions

Ask about a feature and Wideframe explains what you can do with it, with limits where they affect your request and an offer to get started. Answers previously included broad lists of limitations even when they did not affect the work you were asking about.

Try it: "What can you do with motion graphics templates and Gaussian blur in Premiere?"

Chat box

The "CTX" percentage and its menu have been removed from the chat box.

Premiere export reports

When color controls cannot carry over to Premiere, the export report now identifies the omitted controls for each clip so you can reapply them in Premiere.

Fixed

  • Fixed Premiere projects reporting "damaged" after video or audio clip edits, or after repeatedly turning multicam on and off.
  • Fixed analysis and transcription progress counting preparation and processing as separate files, and analysis jobs showing "Preparing" while waiting for analysis.
  • Fixed audio syncing returning the wrong offset when a short recording matches near the end of a longer recording.
  • Fixed EditReady output checks reporting only "unavailable" when a comparison lacks a value; new checks identify whether the value is missing from the source, the output, or both.
